Terms of Service

1. About Sakina

Sakina is a private, wali-based Muslim matrimonial service operated by Markaz Al Fawzaan. By creating an account or purchasing access you agree to these Terms and to our Refund Policy.

2. Nature of the service

Sakina is a digital service. Paid access is delivered instantly upon successful payment and consists of the ability to send interests, receive matches, and use messaging tools within the platform. There is no physical product or shipment.

3. Minimum age

You must be at least 18 years old AND have reached the age of marriage under the Sharīʿah; both conditions must be met. If either is not satisfied, you may not create an account or use the service. Accounts found in violation may be closed without refund.

4. Eligibility and conduct

You must be of Islamic marriageable age, unmarried or otherwise eligible under the Sharīʿah, and use the service in accordance with Islamic manners. Female profiles require a verified wali. Misrepresentation, harassment, or unlawful conduct may result in suspension without refund.

5. Paid plans

Standard — Monthly ($4.99 USD per month). This plan is billed $4.99 USD every 30 days and renews automatically until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize the payment processor to charge $4.99 USD at the start of each 30-day period until you cancel. Each payment provides 30 days of access.

Standard — 6 Months (one-time payment). This plan is a single payment of $199 USD that provides 180 days of access from the date of payment. It is not a subscription: it does not renew automatically and no further charges are made. Access ends automatically at the end of the 180 days.

Earlier plans. Members who subscribed to a previous monthly, quarterly, or annual plan continue to be billed at the price they subscribed at, at each billing interval, until they cancel.

6. Subscriptions and cancellation

The Standard — Monthly plan renews automatically every 30 days at $4.99 USD until you cancel. The Standard — 6 Months plan is a one-time payment and does not renew.

You can cancel at any time from your account with the payment processor you subscribed through (Whop, under Manage membership), or by contacting support through Contact support inside the Sakina app or via sakinabymarkazalfawzaan.com. Cancelling stops future renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and your access continues until then.

Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge. We do not give partial-period refunds, except as set out in our Refund Policy. If the price of a subscription changes, we will notify you by email in advance, and you may cancel before the new price applies.

7. All sales final — no refunds

Because access is a digital service delivered immediately upon payment, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or partial refunds for any payment, including the Standard — 6 Months plan and any subscription payment or renewal. The only exception is a duplicate or erroneous charge, or a successful payment that did not unlock access and that we cannot resolve, which we will correct. Nothing here limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country.

8. Free extension guarantee

The free extension guarantee applies only to the Standard — 6 Months plan. If you receive no mutual interest within 6 months you may qualify for a free 3-month extension of access. This is an extension of access only, has no cash value, and is not a refund. It does not apply to the Standard — Monthly plan.

9. Account suspension and closure

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or the platform's conduct rules. Suspension or closure does not create a right to refund. Data may be retained as required for legal, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.

10. Messaging between matched members

Messaging between matched members is available only while the male member's membership is active. When that membership ends, access to the conversation is suspended for both members. Do not use messaging to harass, threaten, send unlawful or indecent content, or solicit money. Attachments are limited to images and videos of up to 5 MB each. You may block a conversation at any time; blocking ends the conversation and the match.

11. Safety and moderation

Messages and shared content. To keep Sakina safe and to enforce these Terms, Sakina may review messages, attachments and other content exchanged through the platform, including conversations between matched members. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We may use automated tools and authorised staff for this purpose, and we may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts where these Terms are breached or where safety requires it.

12. Privacy and content

Walis can view the wali conversations involving the applicant(s) under their guardianship. Messages between matched members are covered by the “Safety and moderation” section above. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Third-party services

Operating Sakina relies on a small set of third-party providers: Whop and other processors where offered (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (data hosting, EU / Paris region), Meta Platforms (advertising measurement), and optionally Telegram (community updates for content you choose to publish publicly). 14. Disclaimers

Sakina is a facilitation service; we do not guarantee any specific match, outcome, or marriage. The service is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding a claim.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sakina regarding your use of the service and supersede any prior agreements or communications on the subject.

18. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
